LAS VEGAS, NV. – Jan. 7, 2024 – Yazaki Innovations, Inc. (YII), the tech-disrupting subsidiary of Yazaki North America, has renewed its technical collaboration and sponsorship of Andretti INDYCAR, which includes an associate sponsorship on the No. 27 Honda driven by Kyle Kirkwood and the No. 28 Honda driven by Marcus Ericsson for the 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season. Both cars will begin the racing season with the all-new PreFab Home Wiring™ powered by YII product brand on the front wings.
Yazaki Innovations made its racing debut at the historic 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 with Andretti INDYCAR last year and will continue as partners throughout the entire 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.
“Our company thrives on being fast and agile and finding new ways to push boundaries and achieve peak performance,” said Erik Fleming, CEO & President at Yazaki Innovations. “The entire Andretti organization shares these core values of innovation, teamwork, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Just as the drivers strive for podiums, we strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of our business. This partnership provides a dynamic platform to showcase our brand, engage with passionate and inspiring engineers and innovators.”
“Bringing Yazaki Innovations into the Andretti family of partners during the month of May last year was a great way to gear up for the Indianapolis 500, and we’re thrilled that they are back with us for the 2025 INDYCAR season,” said Doug Bresnahan, Chief Commercial Officer at Andretti Global. “At Andretti, we strive to bring in partners that not only mirror our passion for innovation and our winning spirit, but also boost our performance both and off the track, and it’s obvious that Yazaki Innovations does just that.”
To celebrate the extension of the partnership, the No. 28 Delaware Life Honda will be on display at the Yazaki Innovations booth at CES in Las Vegas, January 7-10, 2025.
In 2025, both Yazaki Innovations and Andretti INDYCAR will explore “Race-to-Road” technologies that will be tested in extreme race environments. Not only will these developments help Andretti INDYCAR perform on the track but will also enhance Yazaki’s product portfolio to be ahead of its competition on the road.
