Andretti Global announced today that PreFab Home Wiring™, Yazaki Innovations groundbreaking electrical wiring solution designed specifically for modern residential builders and contractors, will be the primary partner for the No. 27 Honda piloted by Kyle Kirkwood at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

“PreFab is racing to revolutionize the home building electrical installation process, and we’re powering that vision to life by teaming with the Andretti INDYCAR team and our shared core values of innovation, teamwork and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” said Erik Fleming, CEO & President at Yazaki Innovations. “PreFab Home Wiring couldn’t have a more perfect home than on the No. 27 Honda driven by Kyle Kirkwood during the iconic Grand Prix of Long Beach.”

“It’s always exciting to bring in new partners to the Andretti INDYCAR program but having an organization as impressive as PreFab Home Wiring come onboard through our growing partnership with Yazaki Innovations is such a full circle moment for us,” said Doug Bresnahan, Chief Commercial Officer at Andretti Global. “Yazaki Innovations joined us during the month of May for the iconic Indianapolis 500 last year, so it’s only fitting that PreFab Home Wiring makes their big debut on the Streets of Long Beach, a favorite of not only the Andretti organization, but the entire INDYCAR paddock.”

A product of existing Andretti INDYCAR partner Yazaki Innovations, Inc. (YII), PreFab Home Wiring’s systems are engineered to reduce construction time, minimize labor costs and enhance overall quality, setting new standards in the home building industry, saving builders 30 percent in cost and time. PreFab Home Wiring was first seen on Kirkwood’s and teammate Marcus Ericsson’s Honda machines at the 2025 INDYCAR season opener on the Streets of St. Petersburg and will continue to be featured across the Andretti INDYCAR program for the remainder of the season.

Yazaki Innovations, a wholly owned subsidiary of Yazaki Corporation created to grow innovation and emerging automotive and non-automotive technology initiatives, joined the Andretti INDYCAR family of partners in May of 2024, making their INDYCAR debut at the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge before extending their partnership for the 2025 season.

Kirkwood, the 2023 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach winner and polesitter, and the No. 27 PreFab Honda will take on the Streets of Long Beach this weekend for the 50th anniversary of the historic race. The California street circuit holds a special place in the Florida native’s heart as the site of Kirkwood’s maiden INDYCAR victory and pole position.

“I am excited to have PreFab Home Wiring as a primary partner in Long Beach,” said Kirkwood. “After giving them a glimpse of the action in the opening rounds of the season, I’m looking forward to hopefully bringing the PreFab Honda to the podium at such a special race on the INDYCAR calendar.”

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach race weekend featuring Kirkwood and the No. 27 PreFab Honda will kick off Friday April 11 with with live coverage on FOX and the FOX Sports app running through the checkered flag on Sunday afternoon.
